Support Female Chess Players

The 1st Asian Paralympic Chess Medal of the Blind

Our Players

Female chess players who are visually challenged face multiple challenges that go beyond the game itself. Limited access to specialized coaching, adaptive chess equipment, and regular competitive opportunities often restricts their growth. Social barriers such as gender bias, lack of encouragement, and safety concerns while traveling for tournaments further add to their difficulties. Financial constraints and inadequate institutional support make it harder for them to attend national and international events. Additionally, balancing personal responsibilities with rigorous training demands becomes more challenging due to limited support systems. Despite these obstacles, many visually challenged women chess players continue to show remarkable resilience and talent, highlighting the need for focused support and inclusive development programs.
